A. Verify before you buy! Verify that the contractor you choose is a registered contractor with the state of Washington. The state offers a free online search to verify the contractor's license/bond/insurance.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. As a customer, I would want to know that not all contractors or materials are created equal! I would want to know the specifics of what the contractor's price includes and what material he is using so when I compare prices, I am comparing apples to apples.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. The first and foremost question is are they registered with the State of Washington. Then, ask about materials and the warranty on those and the guarantee on craftsmanship.
