I am currently focused on Foreclosure prevention. I list client homes to obtain a buyer under a "short sale" and negotiate the sale with the mortgage lender so the "seller" is able to sell the home instead of having it foreclosed and in doing so limit the damage to their credit. This also makes it possible to purchase another home in a shorter period of time than would be possible if a foreclosure occurs.
This is a process that involves a lot of education so homeowners have the ability to make "informed" decisions not emotional ones. Due to the stress involved and the economy we are in I view my job as one of much counseling and education.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I would wish that I knew I could trust my "agent". As in any other profession it is important not only to ask friends and family for recommendations of who to use but also ask what they felt the agent's strongest AND weakest abilities were.
That is only the starting point, the next step is to speak with the agent and he completely honest about your situation.
Finally and MOST importantly...trust what you feel when you ask youself "is this the person I feel is going to always tell me truth?"
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I believe that the most important part of providing a valuable service to my client is that of absolute honesty.
The decisions being made when buying or selling a home are ones that have long term consequences and as such the client being fully informed is crucial.
Whether or not this is the information the client "wants.to hear" or not, it will be the truth to the best of my knowledge.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I knew that one day I wanted to own a home and I wanted to know for myself what was involved in that process so I would be prepared. After almost 300 clock hours of specific real estate, finance and appraisal classes I realized that an informed and honest agent was needed by every buyer or seller as not everyone could go through the classes I had just completed or obtain the actual experience over the years that I would gain.
