I specialize in focus and control training, behavior modification, and basic training through private training sessions in your home or group classes. I also offer dog walking services to give your companion exercise and training along with providing an outlet for their energy and physical needs while you're away.
At Paws Afoot, my primary focus is to give every dog and their owners solutions tailored specifically to address their dog's problems in a gentle, fun, humane and very effective way. We start with an in-depth consultation held at your home and I'll create a personal training plan protocol to help you progressively reach your goals. The result will be a happy, healthy and bonded relationship between you and your dog!

For anybody looking for a great dog trainer Lise Lauisva is the one to hire. Her training consists of training by positive reinforcement and non violence. She train's with love, patience, and tolerance. I purchased a baby, boy Golden Retriever and within months he weighed over 60 lbs. With this size dog there is no way to "muscle" or "control" your way into a well mannered member of the family. It took many training sessions with Lise, a lot of time on my part, practice on his part, and patience by my extended family and friends. Remember he was a puppy weighing in at 60 lbs at 6 months. Today he is 1 year old and 98 lbs, he is happy, joyous and free. I need not kennel him all day while I am gone because he does not chew on any item in my home except his own toys. He is fully potty trained, crated trained for car travel, and behaves very well on his leash. I do not know what I would have done had I not found Lise to help me with him. He is a joy to be around and a pleasure to all who meet him. He is still a puppy, playing hard and long, but he is a very nice dog. I am very grateful to Lise for teaching Me how to help my dog and me how to learn. Thank you so very much.

Lise and our Cardigan Welsh Corgi Remy are an awesome combination! As our dog/people trainier, Lise is so consistent, kind, experienced with well informed, intelligent and experienced problem solving for any issue. Dogs respond instantly to her positive approach and she finds such innovative ways to enhance the partnership between clients and their dogs. Naturally, when we needed someone to walk Remy during the day, we chose Lise. She makes walking sessions fun but also instructive, reinforcing skills learned in class. Lise is organized, a wonderful communicator, and above all safe, reliable, and completely trustworthy. We highly recommend Lise and Paws Afoot - your dog will love her!!
