Introduction: Students enjoy success. We never push the dog past its limits during a training session; it's critical that dog feel comfortable and the owner can see progress, however small the increment, be made. I love training owners and their dogs. And really, that's what it is about: giving the owners the skills to be able to train their own dog, without aversive methods or tools. The more enjoyment the team has training, the better the results are.

Hele worked with us, me and my 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier to develop SuZee as a therapy dog. There was an interesting group of dogs in the class. Helen dealt with the group as a whole and individually, making each situation a learning experience for the entire class. I am so pleased and surprised by the results from taking this class with Helen! I volunteer at a hospice and saw therapy dogs in action - now we are a team and able to visit wherever we are needed and welcomed. I have no doubt SuZee will bring smiles to many faces. Thank you Helen, your training is just what we needed!

My dog and I took a Therapy Dog training course from Helen, and it was wonderful -- we passed our evaluations and have been enjoying our visits with lots of great people! I appreciate how Helen can customize instructions for the individual needs of each person and his/her unique dog. We had a truly great class experience!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My system is not complicated. Please write for rates. There is a package discount for 4 private training lessons scheduled and paid in advance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! I love learning. Even if my certifications did not require CEU's, I would continue to attend classes as often as possible. I started taking workings and seminars in 2000...and haven't quit!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always worked with animals. Horse in school, cats, and now dogs. I just love working with animals. Each one is different!
