Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. The process of achieving high levels of fitness begins with good health. Make sure that the person or business you pay cares about how healthy you are, not just how you look. If you have been working out anywhere for 6 months or more and are not a changed person in form and function, you are on the wrong path.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Achieving noteworthy levels of fitness requires knowledge and experience. Attempting self-directed exercise rarely produces anything profound. Dramatic changes in health and function are possible if you have the right combination of knowledge and environment.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask for a specific definition of fitness. The goal of fitness is a real and specific thing; not anyone's opinion. If a fitness trainer asks you what your goals are, he or she is just pandering to you, not leading you.
