- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pacific Learning Academy specializes in 1-on-1 education, but we do allow students to share the time with another student to cut down on costs. Shared tutoring or a group of three will drastically cut the price, but we find that families are truly happiest with 1-on-1 help.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I love attending conferences, seminars and workshops that deal with Learning Differences, gifted learners, and Foreign Language acquisition. We also have guest speakers at staff get-togethers that train us on new ideas for study skills and organization, mentoring, and Math teaching techniques.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I taught English as a second language in Mexico, Argentina and Japan, and I taught Spanish in Vermont and Alaska before moving to Washington state. I know the power of 1-on-1 education and love owning and running a service that makes such a huge impact not only on our students, but their families as well.
