    Steve has been my computer tech and the tech for my law firm in Walnut Creek, California, for over 10 years. At one time, he operated out of Northern California, but has been in Washington for many years now. Regardless, he continues to provide services remotely, which includes security, backup, upgrades, etc. He even orders and builds the firm new CPUs (as needed). They are then shipped to the firm to replace the old ones. All fine tuning is then completed by Steve remotely. My favorite benefit is: Steve often performs work and/or trouble shooting in the the early mornings or evenings when my office is closed. This means none of my staff ever loses computer time during business hours. I highly recommend Steve, for he is professional, technically sound, and up on all new developments.

    Steve is the IT "Go Guy" for many in my Windermere Real Estate office, as well as mine. He is responsive from anywhere at anytime.     Secondring was very easy work and very direct. Worked with the senior engineer Steve. He was very knowledgeable and direct. He built me a new print server for my office as well as cleaned up spyware and slowness problems on several of my teams workstations. He told me exactly what was going on with my machines and didnt try to bull sh%# me into spending more money for something I didnt need. Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. More often then most, work performed for customers is related to performance. This is done by a General Preventive Maintenance task to scan and remove spyware, any virus software, defragging the hdd, performing a deep dive into the registry to optimize performance. This can usually be done remotely in about an hour if you can get online in either Windows or Safe Mode with Networking. When im complete, you'll be left with the tools to maintain your pc on your own or you can inquire about my ongoing Preventive Maintenance Plan, which covers remote support, anyispyware, antimalware and 10 GB of Remote Data Backup. Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be sure that the provider listens to your issues completely. They should offer you more than 1 option for repair. If a provider doesn't know how to fix something, they should know how to find someone that can.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Which came first, The Virus or Spyware?? Or the Virus or Spyware Protector.. hmmmm

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What happens if they can't fix the issue? What other alternatives are available? Are your prices reasonable and repair time expectations honest?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Decide whether spending 2-4 hours to fix a problem on an old computer, weighed against purchasing a new PC. PC's are nearly disposable these days and its about data retention.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I believe my work stands out among the rest, cause I treat people's pc's like they were my own. I know whats it like to not have email or to not have access when you need it. I strive to get them back to doing what they do best using their pc and perform the work the need to do on it.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I recall walking in to a Computer Room in the 7th Grade, surrounded by Apple IIe's and saying .. "Ahh Yes .. This is for me!" Since then, i've just been a sponge for Computer Knowledge. Finding ways to do things faster and/or easier for a someone is one of my driving forces.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
