Introduction: I work from experience and from education. I may be the only person in King County with my particular set of qualifications. I am credentialed as a Certified Counselor, hold multiple college degrees (including a law degree), and make education a never-ending pursuit. I'm the author of more than a dozen books. I volunteer with several community organizations, and am happily married with seven kids and three (so far!) grandchildren.
It's a real blessing to see clients find success after struggling. I love helping people discover they have resources, choices, and new options they'd never considered. I help discouraged people find optimism and courage!

We have 9 children - all adopted - and many from difficult backgrounds. LauraMaery has been able to help us with many issues we've encountered. Her advice is timely and practical. She's been able to help us see what the underlying issues are and what we need to do as parents to help our children with their issues. We've dealt with everything from minor teen rebellion to chronic running away to teen pregnancy, and she's been able to help us through it all. I highly recommend her as a counselor. She's spot-on with her advice and very personable and easy to work with.
