FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Exterior painting is the most common type of job we do for clients. This involves pressure washing or deep cleaning of the house to remove all dirt and mildew, which takes place 3-5 days prior to painting. Once the house is dry, thorough preparation of the house is completed. This includes scraping, sanding, and priming of all localized failures as well masking off windows, decks, doors, garages, and all other areas that will not be painted. After preparation, we either spray or roll the siding of the house and leave the trim for the next day. Clean up takes place during the day as well as at the end of each day to ensure garbage is never visible. An average house takes about 3 to 4 days to paint and we are never done till the client is completely satisfied.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A guide for the homeowner: What to look for in a painting company Guarantee: A company should always guarantee their work. This will help you feel confident in the durability and quality of the job that they perform. Always remember to be sure that the company you choose has a good guarantee. Experience: This is often a good measure of how reliable they will be. Ask for references, photos, and videos of past jobs completed. Thoroughness: Look closely at what a company will actually be doing on the job. Have they provided you with a detailed written estimate? Are they doing all the required preparation, including quality products? Is their price guaranteed? Expertise: Painting is not a simple as some may believe! The reasons for paint failure are often quite difficult to determine. It is necessary to hire someone who knows the technical aspects of painting as well as the actual procedures. For a lasting paint job, preparation is of the utmost importance. The only way to properly prepare a surface is to know why the surface failed in the first the place. There are solutions to most paint problems; if the solution is one that cannot be undertaken by the painting company, it is to be expected that the client be made aware of the problem (e.g., rotting wood). Beware of companies that make promise miracles. Professional Attitude: Make sure the person doing the estimate for you is not merely out to sell a job. In a service business like painting, the satisfaction of the client is what really counts, even more so than in many other businesses. If the estimator is late for an appointment, for example, it is often a warning sign of bad things to come. Make sure that the company knows that it is the appearance and durability of the paint job that matters. For most people, their residence is the single largest investment they will ever make. It is important that it is taken care of properly. You would be surprised how many companies in this industry focus solely on selling jobs and not providing a quality painting service
