I had the privilege of Luis, the owner of Piano Tech, tune my 100-year-old Bush and Lane piano. He also repaired several keys that were misaligned and now they work perfectly again. Not only a pro at his job, but Luis is a great guy to boot. I wholeheartedly recommend him for any piano tuning and/or repair jobs!

Luis was the only person that called me. He was fast and professional and did an amazing job! This was kind of a special project. There's a baby grand piano here at our apartment complex and it was out of tune and had keys that were sticking etc. We have a Ukrainian family that fled Ukraine last September and moved in here. Their 9 year old daughter plays the piano beautifully and she's down there playing almost every night. I spoke with the apartment manager and asked if there was any way to get some work done on this piano for this girl and she agreed. That's when I found Luis and it couldn't have been any better! He was personable and professional and he took extra care in what he was doing because he got to meet the family and he saw the tears in their eyes with how happy they were that this piano was going to be repaired for their daughter. A beautiful, beautiful story. You did great, Luis!!!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Good old curiosity. Always has been natural to work with my hands...
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
120 year old Steinway upright action rebuild. Put on new bass strings, new German hammers, new whippens, new dampers, restored the Ivories, refinished the ebonies, new key bushings, polished the pedals and tuned it four times before delivering.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I can't speak for everyone but make sure they care about their work, get along with your animals and are on time :)
