About Rick Mack Enterprises

I build woodie wagons, great woodie wagons! I started working on woodies way back in 1962, and I now have a lifetime of experience.

My woodie shop is now located in Tacoma, Washington, and my current specialty is building new wood sets for 1949 through 1951 Ford and Mercury woodie wagons and shipping these fine, fully assembled sets to my customers, but don't let that stop you! I have built fabulous new wood for many earlier Ford, Mercury, GM and Chrysler woodies as well.

My work is accurate, fully detailed, and unsurpassed in quality! In addition, I do very fine woodie art and illustration work. Forty-nine years is a long, long time to get things right and I do!

Don't hesitate to call, e-mail or write me for basic woodie information, parts' sources, resources, and of course, new wood. I am always willing to help!

It was Woodies on the Wharf - 1999 when I first met Rick and he gave me and my son over two hours of time talking about wood and its future on my 1950 Shoebox that just started in its restoration. Six months later, he gave me a half day in his shop going over the details on fitting and finishing. I was so impressed that I have helped in fitting and finishing two additional Shoebox woodies.

Rick knows his stuff and has been helpful in many ways to me over the past dozen years and I would recommend him to anyone just getting started. My wife and I have driven our woodie 86,000 miles in the last decade and the wood has held up with absolutely no problems even though I have had to give it several coats of varnish along the way.

We have even won a few Best of Shows!

What can I say!!! The wait was well worth it! Rick built a complete wood kit for my 1949 Ford Woodie (Restorod). The very first comment I receive from admirer's is (Wow) Thats beautiful wood!
    Thanks Rick!

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. No other woodie wood builder applies anywhere near as much time and effort to accuracy and detail as I do in my work. No on else has been at this for as long as I have!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Woodies are American Folk Art, and I duplicate them better than anyone. Working with American Hardwoods is absolutely wonderful. Wood is natures art work, and opening up wood grain to show this art is truly amazing!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Customers often ask why my work is better than the 'other guys' work. I try my best to explain the super tight fit and accuracy that I put into my work. My work is not matched or equaled.
