I am a professional wedding and portrait photographer for SW WA and NW OR.
I specialize in weddings, couples, boudoirs and seniors.
My portrait packages include prints and start at $100. A 4-hour wedding starts at $1,000. All pricing is on my website and Facebook.
People love my outgoing and funny nature.
I have a downtown studio, and kids love jumping on the bed there.
Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Look at the photographers style. If you don't love the style...then you will not love the portraits you get from them.
Make sure also that the photographer is licensed in your state that way if anything goes wrong they are more accountable and not just some fly by night business you will never find again.
Also if you are getting prints make sure they are from a professional lab not from walmart or costco.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Make sure to ask a lot of questions before you book your
session that way there are no big surprises when it come to paying.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Up front session fees and minimum print orders.
What is included if anything.
Do you offer a disk of images to print.
Do you have a studio.
Do you accept payments.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I make sure to get some formal family shots and then just get some fun and playful portraits.
I edit in color and black and white...and occasionally throw in a funky vintage or urban color shot.
Seniors really like the funky editing...for others it depends on my clients taste and the photo.
My portraits are high in contrast with lots of color. :)
I do not do selective coloring. ( Where one part of a picture is in color and the rest is black and white)
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. If my clients knew how much time it takes from first consultation to delivering the goods they would understand that I don't just go and take a picture...I create a portrait that will be looked upon for years and years to come. Nothing about my job is simple...but I love what I do and will continue to do it for years and years. :)
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. I did a Trash the dress session with two girls who are great friends. We went to Willow Grove and got some awesome shots in a vintage Ford.
That session was featured on a photography blog and has gotten a lot of attention. I loved it!!
It was a great time and the portraits are truly unforgettable. These are something both girls families and kids will cherish.
