Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for stability,( same company).
Community involvement,(Kiwanis), (Food Bank),
( Boys and Girls Club),etc..
References, A good agent should be able to provide you with several.
Are they a Realtor ?????
Many agents are not, there is a difference. Realtors adhere to a more stringent set of guidelines.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Why do you work for the company you are with. and have you switched companies, if so why?
Windermere is involved with local community concerns, ie: Mukilteo Food Bank, YMCA kids after school program, Providing Christmas for needy families. I feel it is extremely important to give back to your community.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are you a Realtor?, not just a real estate agent.
Can you provide references?
Is this your only job? Many agents have a full time job and do real estate on the side, and don't have the time to properly assist you. Would you want your surgeon to be a part time doctor? Maybe not quite the same but you get the point.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Is the person you are looking for fully able to assist you?
Do they live and work in the area you are looking at?
Is this there only profession?
Are they able to provide references, and have job consistency?
Does the agent you are seeking out currently have properties listed and are they posted on several internet sites..ie Realtor.com,Trulia, Zillow, and look at the photos...I am amazed how poorly some homes are portrayed due to lousy photography.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love helping people find they're dream home. it is truley gratifying to share the process and help buyers find just the right place. I remember only to well when my wife and I purchased our first home, and the agent we had was terrible. Didn't listen, kept taking us to houses that we couldn't afford or didn't fit our needs. It is so important to LISTEN to what your clients requests are.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Every agent must take continuing education ( clock hours) most agents in our office go beyond the minimum and take part in weekly meetings and additional training to stay abreast of all the changes that take place in our industry.
Not all agents work as closely with their co workers and managing broker as Windermere agents.
