I am an animal lover. Unfortunately, I've owned cats for all my life since I had pets, so I have not been able to call any other pet as family.

One way I've found to spread my love of animals is to take care of my family and friends' pets. I've also tried to volunteer with local animal shelters, but I did not have the money for gas to get there and back home in the recent past.

So, what I'm offering to those of you looking at this ad is that, I would love the opportunity to spend time with your pets, whether it be walking your dogs or watching your house while you're away, or making sure that your pets are fed, clean and get their exercise when needed.

In addition to house watching for your pets, I would be more than happy to tidy up the house while you're away, if you'd so choose. My rates below are subject to change depending on what you have me doing and for how long.

So, I would love to get a call from you, to know which member of your family you will be entrusting me with.

Unfortunately, to do house watching for your pets, I will have to travel to your house because I cannot have any pets besides my two cats in my apartment. In addition, I would love to take your dogs or cats to the groomer, if you would so wish me to run that type of errand for you.

Question and answer

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Customers, before seeking out someone to work with their pets should know how well the pet takes to people that they don't know. If you have an aggressive dog and she/he doesn't take well to strangers it could be a health risk for the person you're hiring to take him/her on a walk through the neighborhood. Also if you have a large pet that needs walking look into getting a strong person to walk that animal.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I try and make my work personal with each customer. I'm taking care of one of my customer's family members after all - sometimes this family member is like a child and other times it's like a best friend. Whatever they are to the customer I try and treat them like I would a person in that situation. And of course animals tend to take to me no matter what kind of animal it is - my boyfriend's dogs seem to like me better than his own family.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I like being able to see all these different animals and knowing that someone has trusted me to take care of them. The responsibility of being trusted with something so precious just gives me such a sense of pride - knowing that I am the one person that has been trusted out of however many others have been interviewed, if none others have been interviewed then that gives an even better sense of accomplishment because I know that not only do they trust me with their family member(s) but they've known right off the bat that I was the best choice.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Most customers will ask me why I can't take care of their pets at my own home when they go out of town. The answer to this question is that I don't have any room to take care of any others in my small apartment - I do live with my mother and younger sister currently - and I have two cats that run around and I'm not sure how they take to other pets.

Many customers have also tried to negotiate prices because of the economy and I understand completely. I can work with what you can afford usually however the travel fees still do apply. I can't do my job very well if I can't get to you. Like I said in the job description or "sale's pitch" is that my charges vary depending on the job that you have me doing and what you can afford.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. The best way to get pricing for my services would be to just call me directly - set up an interview if you so wish, get to know me and let me get to know your pet a little. This traveling expense I will cover - if I'm not a good fit for you, you have lost nothing and if I am a good fit then you've got yourself one very dedicated "employee".
