About Pyroshield of Washington

hired 4 times on Thumbtack

Mon-Fri: 9:00am-6:00pm

We clean roofs with air pressure versus water pressure for about 95% of the homes we service annually. We prefer to use air versus water because water can actually be very damaging and harmful to one's roof.

The system we use puts out only 100 psi of air pressure versus a pressure washer that puts out 1200 to 3000 psi. Once our treatment is applied, it is then activated by rain; our lovely Washington rainfall!

It is warranted for three years against moss re-growth on comp and tile roofs, and five years on shake roofs.

We also provide the following services:

- Roof replacement
- Gutter replacement/cleaning
- Gutter cover/downspout installation
- Interior and exterior painting
- Window cleaning

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Always check to see if they are a licensed Contractor by going online to Washington State Department of Labor & Industries.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Unfortunately most small companies are owner operators who do their own work. 99% of all owner operators do not carry Washingtong State required Labor & Industries Employers Insurance. This is because owners to do not need to carry L & I Insurance on themselves only on employees. They do not even need to carry for Sub-Contractors. If anyone is hurt on your property while working on your project or just on your property you are at at risk for a homeowners insurance claim.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We prefer to clean with air vs. water for about 95% of the homes we service annually. We use 100 psi of air pressure vs. a pressure washer that puts out 1200psi to 3000 psi and around 2 to 12 gallons a minute. The treatment we prefer to apply is activated by rain and is warranted for 3 years against moss re-growth on comp & tile roofs and good for 5 years on shake roofs. FYI the pressure from the water when pressure washing along with the volume of the water used in cleaning removes unnecessary granules off the comp roofs and layers of wood off the shake roofs and increases more stress on tiles along with removing some of the surface color on the older tile roofs.
