Working with Vitalii on our washer repair and dryer maintenance was such a breeze. He was always on time and communicated regularly and easily via phone and text about all the details, scheduling, and payment aspects of the work. His work was fast and effective, and I was back to getting our laundry done minutes after he was finished with no issues. I picked Bold & Short because they were the highest-rated repair shop on Thumbtack for my area. Their initial visit cost was higher than the others, but I went with their positive reviews……and I’m so glad I did.
They gave me a three-hour window for the first appointment, and they texted to ask if they could show up EARLY!! That was refreshing.
And when Ivan, the tech, did the initial assessment, he was thorough and very transparent about what needed to be done to fix my washing machine.
When I decided to have them do the repair instead of buying a new washer, they came the NEXT day with the replacement part, fixed it, and I started a load of laundry while Ivan was still here!
Once I again I had Ivan do the repair instead of buying a new machine and dumping a relatively new washer into a landfill!
I recommended them to a friend whose dryer broke down on that same day, and they were out to fix her dryer the following day!! So they’re super responsive and do great work……with a friendly smile. I trust Ivan’s recommendations, and their pricing seemed fair and reasonable.

I booked a service call for the following morning and was impressed with the quick follow up to confirm the appointment. Ivan arrived during the estimated time. He took extra pains to evaluate both my washer and dryer in action to determine what was making all the noise. He was able to address the issue during the service call and provide an experienced perspective on the overall health of the two appliances. He described what I should look out for if the suspension did need replacing in the future. I’ll definitely hire Bold & Short Repair again for appliance servicing and repair.

My Bosch gas dryer suddenly stopped working, leaking gas. I used Thumbtack to find an appliance repair person and found Bold & Short with good rating and quick response and scheduling.
Vitali and his crew were very responsive, punctual and professional. Vitali diagnosed the issue, ordered the necessary part, returned to install it, cleaned the entire dryer and attached the venting duct properly. I did not have to pay for the diagnostic separately. Only the part and installation. I was very happy with the service, communication and result. I am back to a fully functional dryer and would recommend Bold & Short to anyone. I will be using them again for other appliances! 👍👍👍!

I had a fantastic experience with Bold & Short Repair! I had been experiencing issues with my washing machine and Bold & Short was able to come out the next day to fix it! The tech was very nice and took the time to explain what was wrong with my machine. Price is very fair as well. I’d recommend Bold & Short to anyone!
