I worked with Quyen and his crew last year and just wanted to say that they did a great job putting sod in to my back yard and my back yard was not the easiest to get to. I am looking forward to working with this group again this year on a new project.

Quyen and his crew put in a new patio which required excavation, retaining and brick wall design with pavers for the patio. It is so beautiful! They came when they said they would, left everything perfect with no mess to clean up and finished on time! I would highly recommend them for any landscaping job! Quyen and his crew were so thoughtful and respectful.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We installed a lot of paver patios and retaining walls. Its the main thing people like to install in the back yard. firepits, fences, and new sod are also common.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Check to see if the contractor is license and bonded. Check with the department of labor and industry or simply ask for proof of licensed and insurance.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Pictures don't speak a thousands words. Pictures are the most deceiving thing in my trade. You can make a project look very good, the pictures will look great, but structurally, it will be an eye sore withing a year if not sooner. Structural integrity is a lot more important than looks even though looks are very important.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Nothing. We will provide you with consultation and ideas from A to Z. It's nice to know what you like, but we can help if you want to start with a blank canvas.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. "Always Exceeding Expectations" is our business motto. I think everyone is surprised by how professional and how much pride we take in what we do. Our work is consistent with the structural integrity and the craftmanship of someone who cares about customer satisfaction. We will always put a smile on your face no matter how hard we have to work.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love the networking and the relationship I build with all my customers. I am proud the relationships I have with my customers and how they are always willing to testify on my behalf.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How old are you? I am a very happy person. It's my answer to the fountain of youth. I always smiling. I 30 years old, but I look a lot younger :)

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I had a customer whom I consulted three times before his wife decided to tackle the project herself. It was a medium size project so it was at least a week worth of work. I knew she would struggle because I wouldn't want to the project without help and this is what I do. Two months later, the husband called me back and the job was 1/3 done. I was impressed with the effort but the craftmanship needed a lot more practice. I think they are very happy with the way the project turn out and I am very proud of the relationship that we established with them.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. It is hard work. A lot of people think that they can do the project themselves, which they can, but a lot of people don't have the equipment to do the job the fullest extent. Demolition is hard and hauling and dumping 10 yards of dirt is extremely difficult if you don't have a dump truck. a lot of customer avoid this obstacle by not demoling in enough.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I did a simple sprinkler system with some trees planting. We work hard on the job and kept the job site nice and clean at all time. It lead to 3 other big jobs.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I am always expanding my horizon and networking with different businesses that are in my field. I like to know what's the latest and hottest and make sure to recommend it to my customers.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. We are transforming a new landscapes for a townhouse developement. It's has six brand new town homes with 5000 sq ft of landscape area. We installed a Rainbird sprinkler system, 4000 sq ft of Country Green sod (excellent drainage and shades tolerant), and gave them great flowers for the landscapes. Material and labor it was about a 15k job, which is a medium size project for us, we are a fairly small company.
