In my practice of Chinese medicine, I try to optimize the health, as well as well-being of my clients, so that they may lead fuller and more joyful lives.
I believe that health and well-being can be attained by means other than pharmaceuticals like with acupuncture and Chinese herbs, and through changes in lifestyle, diet, sleep, and exercise.
I practice Chinese medicine for the whole family, treating children, teenagers, adults, and seniors. I am in network with most insurance companies.
My practice is in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. I offer free in-person consultations (for 30 minutes) to provide you the chance to meet me and find out what Chinese herbs and acupuncture can do for you.
Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Make sure that your acupuncturist is well credentialed and can provide custom herbal formulas. Meet with the provider first, or talk on the phone, to see if it will be a good fit. I take an hour and a half with new patients, so come with all your questions - we will have time to talk about them all.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Patients should ask if the practitioner is a certified Chinese Herbalist as well as an acupuncturist.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I specialize in the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine - acupuncture and herbs are just two pieces. I've completed a year long Integrative Oncology program, studying and practicing eastern and western approaches to treating cancer. I've spent time in China doing clinical observation rounds in a major hospital. I also do translation work (medical Chinese into English), which gives me access to Chinese language journals and other resources.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Interacting with people and alleviating suffering.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What can acupuncture treat? Pretty much anything! Acupuncture is great not just for pain, but also for internal disorders - digestive problems, women's health issues, insomnia, skin conditions, sinus and allergy problems... and the list goes on.
