- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Attorneys in the State of Washington are required to complete at least 45 hours of continuing legal education every three years. I routinely go well above that. Staying abreast of ever changing DUI laws and strategies requires vigilance and constant educating of oneself. As a member of the National College for DUI Defense, I have utilized the seminars and courses provided to accomplish just that.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I knew that I wanted to practice criminal defense as soon as I graduated from law school. I trained with a small defense firm for a couple of years before striking out on my own and starting my firm back in 1995.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions. Educate yourself. And interview at least three attorneys. Most of the information you here will be the same but it's the differences that will let you know which attorney is best suited for your particular needs.
