My wedding services start at early as 4:00 a.m. and work on ALL hair types and with all nationalites and cultures.

I have been licensed since 2005, have had my own salon since 2007, and have been doing hair since I can remember. I honestly took my curling iron to 5th grade camp! Hair is my love and passion, and I would be honored to be a part of your big day.

I offer trial runs where we meet and actually style your hair into the style that it will be in on the big day, and also incorporate any head dress that you may be wearing.

I work on all hair types (black, Asian, white, bi-racial, course, fine, curly, straight, etc.).

• Bride trial run/practice run through -- $50
• Bridesmaids/maid of honor trial run/practice -- $40

• Day of wedding bridesmaids hair -- $65

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I offer full range of services in the salon outside of bridal/formal/prom services. I offer braids, naturual, ethnic and biracial hair care as well as extensions, color, relaxers, perms, cuts, etc. There isn't much that I can't or don't do and since I work on all hair types, races and nationalities, my knowledge if very extensive.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. You will look at your wedding photos for the rest of your lives! Personality type is really important when choosing the right stylist for your big day, not just their personality but yours as well. If you are very organized, maybe a perfectionist you want to choose someone who is as well so they understand your needs. You also wouldn't want to hire someone that is nit picky if you're more of a laid back person. Happiness is key!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I feel that its really important to educate my clients on what I am doing, why and what products I am using to achieve this. WE are doing your hair, not just me so including my clients in the process is really important for me. Often you walk out of a salon without the ability to even come close to mimicking it at home. Part of it is the stylists talent and knowledge with hair, but its also the client not knowing HOW to.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Its really important to know how many people you are requesting services for, what time you would need to be ready by and location if you prefer me to travel onsite for services.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My passion and love shows in everything that I do. My clients are what keep me going every day and I cherish the time that we spend together. Its refreshing and constantly urges me to improve as a stylist and a business owner. Texture is everything! There is not a hair type that I can't or won't work on!! For me, the challenge of working with clients that have diverse hair textures is a wonderful reward and I hope that I can share this with you.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Everyday I learn something new. There is always room for improvement and knowledge!!! I love coming to the salon knowing that my first client may be coming in for dreadlock maintanence, my next for a bridal trial run and then I end the day with extensions! I thrive off of diversity. It really helps that the salon is such a bright environment with a feel of tropical breeze.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do you work on my type of hair? Absolutely!! Texture is everything. I can achieve the same look on any hair type, its the understanding of tools and products that I am able to do this.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I don't have one particular story that is my favorite, every client, every wedding is something that is imprinted in my mind and always stays with me. It always makes me smile when I look back at pictures or when I run into someone outside of the salon and I think "Wow, what an honor to be apart of something that is so special".

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I live and breathe creativity. From cooking, sewing, knitting, hair, drawing, writing, everything. To be able to create and share that with others is so fulfilling. I am lucky and thankful that I was able to realize and find this at such a young age and I can't ever imagine "retiring". I'll always have my hands in something :)

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I have been doing hair since I can remember. I took my curling iron to 5th grade camp because I was adamant that everyone in my cabin was going to dinner with curls and up dos!! I grew up watching an older aunt in her salon with her clients and it was always like home. By the time I was 13 I knew that all I wanted to do was hair and make clothes. At 19 I went to beauty school to recieve my certificate/degree and at 23 I opened my own salon. I hope that one day I inspire someone like my aunt did for me!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Always!! There are always new techniques, products, education being offered. Not only is it crucial to stay on top of business but its also rewarding! There may have been one way I was taught or perhaps only one product available for a certain hair type or service and with the constant change and developments theres options. Options are everything in the salon, what works for one clients may not work for another so understanding and knowing my resources is great.
