- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have done pet sitting on a non-professional basis since i was young. I also volunteered for a humane society, fostered kittens for MEOW when it was on Mercer Island, fostered elderly pugs, and walked dogs in San Francisco on the weekends. I decided to make a life change from being an office worker to doing my true passion- taking care of animals!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Overnight care for dogs, drop-in visits for cats, and hour-long dog walks in the late morning or early afternoon.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that they are insured and bonded. Ask a lot of questions and look for references.
