I specialize in creating, installing and maintaining food and herb gardens and want to create more in the West Seattle area where I live. I am an herbal medicine maker, farmer and landscaper and have created many edible gardens for people who want to harvest from their gardens for dinner or for creating herbal medicines. Your garden plan comes with recipes!

I will teach you as I go, or just install and let you take over, offering plants for each season. You can choose your plan for maintenance of weekly, twice a month or monthly consulting, with you doing most of the work.

If your garden area gets at least 6 hours of full sunlight you can grow many foods to supplement your food bill and some herb plants to enjoy and harvest when you need them. I can provide season extenders, irrigation set up, and automatic timers, for an extra cost, so you can grow all year round and do not have to worry about anything except what's for dinner.

You can check out our website to see a few of the gardens we created last year. January 2010 posting has good before and after pictures from one of the gardens in West Seattle.

Email to set up an appointment so we can install some summer plants soon, and a full winter garden. Plants started through July will be going in for fall and winter food gardens.

Serious inquiries only! I only have so much time to visit gardens. Installation prices vary widely depending on how the area is prepped, what the soil type is like, and whether you want raised built beds or just soil, but prices can start around $3 per square foot and can go up to $10 per square foot with a minimum of $200. Maintenance is $40 per hour but can be easily kept to the one hour per week or even month if you can do some gardening in between and by email prompts.
