About me:
I have been playing piano for over 15 years, and teaching and accompanying for 7 years. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a Bachelors in Music Composition with an emphasis in piano, I moved to Seattle to pursue a career in film scoring.
Along with composing, I thoroughly enjoy teaching and accompanying. I teach lessons out of my home studio located conveniently next to Garfield High School on 23rd Ave in Seattle, or I offer in-home piano lessons.
What to expect:
Understanding your expectations and goals for these lessons is the first step in our student/teacher relationship. Because of this, I prefer we set up an initial consultation to discuss what you hope to get out of these lessons. During that time, I will also convey what I expect from my students and also their parents. This meeting will help you get a feel for how I run my studio, and a chance to decide whether or not you like it. No pressure!
