An important part of my profession has always been piano instructing. I have taught classical and popular music, jazz, improvisation, music theory, and history, at all levels.
In 2002, I taught piano improvisation at the Bellevue Community College, as an experimental class for music majors, and accompanied the college choir. During the last two years, I have performed on numerous occasions in Las Vegas as well. Currently, I am available for lessons and performances in the greater Seattle area, where I reside.
I believe that students can have fun playing piano if I, as a teacher, help them to understand the physical, rational and emotional aspect of the played pieces; thus, the story behind the abstract musical language.
Playing piano greatly enriches life, and my mission is to assist others to experience this art as well.

Luke taught my son Garret for over 6 years. Garret, who is highly dyslexic, benefited from Luke's method of teaching, Luke's patience and overall wonderful personality. Luke is a magician with teaching kids on the piano--wonderful. I also referred Luke to some of my adult friends who enjoyed taking lessons from him.
Further should you need an extremely accomplished and wonderful entertainer for an evening even-hire Luke-You’ll marvel at his talent on the piano!
Lessons or entertainment with LUKE—it not to be missed!
