I absolutely love dancing salsa. And I love teaching salsa. To me, salsa is an art, a way to express yourself, to come alive with the music and connect with your partner.

It is a fun, healthy way to challenge yourself, and I love helping others develop their talents and their passion for this amazing dance. I teach group salsa classes as well as private lessons. Private lessons are a great way to focus on specific techniques and really improve your salsa mojo.

I also am the creative director of 2 performance dance teams in the Seattle area, one of which travels across the nation to perform at international events.

I would love to teach you the beauty that is salsa.

Before taking a basics class with Johnny and Samantha, my only exposure to Latin Dance was Zumba. My passion for salsa was instantly ignited when attending a performance of the Johnny Bravo Dancers. I was astonished by the beauty of the dance and expertise of the performers. Johnny and Samantha make a fabulous dance instructor pair. The combination of their talents and strengths are capable of evolving the techniques of dancers at any level. I am amazed at how quickly my skills are advancing by taking private lessons from Johnny combined with group classes.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Do you want to have fun? Do you want to learn the right techniques to allow your salsa dancing to take off? Do you love to learn? If so, then I know you will love my classes. I care about my students and want to see them succeed. It makes me happy to develop dancers and see them love salsa as much as I do

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Many of my clients want to start off right away with the intricate patterns and style. But what would help them the most is if they take the time to learn the basics correct. Once you have your basic steps and technique mastered, you can advance and develop much more quickly. Intricate and complicated moves become easy when you have the basics down - and you can lead or be led by anyone. Take the time to learn your basics! Let me help you get to the level of salsa dancing you desire!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I'm a seasoned professional competition dancer. I've danced and competed against the best in the industry. My dance teams are recognized nationwide. Others who teach salsa in this area lack the credentials and natural skills that I possess. My choreography is unique and I don't waste your time - I am able to quickly determine what skills and techniques you need to work on in order to quickly progress in your latin dancing!
