It is great getting to share part of a stranger's life for a day and to see how they live, then capture that and give them back something they can have documented to remember and share for a lifetime. My band hired Aaron to produce our promo video. Aaron killed it. He showed up at our gig ready to rock and got great shots from tons of angles, all without being obtrusive to us or the audience. He was like some crazy filming ninja. After the shoot he edited the video over a soundtrack we provided. He combined our suggestions and requirements with his own editing kung-fu and basically knocked it out of the dojo. From shoot to finished product took about 2.5 weeks. Our promo video is now hard at work landing us gigs and making us look awesome. Every promoter that sees it has nothing but praise. You can check it out at www.secondsting.com. Aaron is one of the most comprehensive and talented filmmakers around town. His dedication and passion is translated in his art. The video quality is great and his editing abilities pass the expectations. I've worked with him for about 1 year. I work in 2 short videos, one was a commercial type and the other one was a business promotional piece, both of them where deliver on time. I'm Dustin from Ninja Turtle Ninja Tiger. We just got done shooting the music video segment for the Snappy Cowboys Productions show called Cascadia Basement. Aaron was amazing to work with. He's a combination of talent and creativity mixed with the directive and video know how to pull off the complex shots we were wanting. I think he really pulled a lot more out of our performance than we expected that we had in us, mostly because how easy he is to work with. Everything seemed so natural. Definitely shop around. It is also important to understand the craft when looking at portfolios and demo reels. Each video in a reel should be unique. This shows skill with the camera and equally in the editing room. A reel with all similar content can easily translate to lack of creativity or effort. As a client, you should want your video to stand out, as well, whether it is for a wedding ceremony or a business retreat segment.
