Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. My most common jobs are from small businesses seeking exposure for their brand, their particular service, or for a product. I would say 90% of videos I create are for the web. They are usually seen on the company's website, YouTube, Vimeo, and other sites to really spread the word.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. One important thing to know is that there are a lot of us out there. Independent and freelance video shooters and editors are in abundance and can provide a really excellent value. Low overhead allows people like us to offer very professional services at a great value. If you're looking to save a little money, call around instead of going to a big company. While a big video studio probably does great work, it comes at a hefty price.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Videos produced by Adam Knight Productions stand out because they appeal to those folks looking for an authentic story. Our clients are not going for gimmicks or tacky jingles. They want to tell an authentic story about their organization or product and build trust with viewers.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Video production is my work and passion, not just because I love working with industry tools to create visual art, but also because I love working with people. It's a collaborative effort and I love working with clients to create something we can all be proud of.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. My most common question is this: How much do your services cost?
The best answer I can give is that I am VERY flexible. I work within your budget to create an effective video piece. For example, if you have a significant budget, I may suggest adding some catchy motion graphics or adding a second camera to a shoot. If you have just a few hundred dollars, I would suggest a simpler shoot with, say, one camera instead of two. In either case, it's a great value!
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I wish customers truly understood the value of small video production company. We provide excellent quality video services at a great rate. We don't have loads of overhead and salaries to pay, so we can keep the rates low and keep everyone happy.
