Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have the ability to capture split-second moments that happen naturally. These moments I can often anticipate so I am ready when they do happen, and these are the moments that clients drool over later. My goal is to capture the essence of you in whatever environment you are in, whether it be at home or far away. It's all about your story, whatever that may be. I know what I want to capture, and when I succeed, it's a wonderful feeling. I also love the interaction with my clients and anyone else who appreciates being the subject in my photos. It's great when you can capture a moment for someone that no one else could have captured the same way.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am constantly researching trends in this market. I network with different wedding vendors and keep on top of their discussions about the industry. I have to be aware of the changes, because if I'm not offering what's trendy, then I'm less likely to be hired.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Think about the long term investment. Over and over again I hear people say that they wish they had spent more money on a professional photographer. Your photos will last a lifetime! Don't risk hiring an inexperienced person with a nice camera and an even better price.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Why photographers are so expensive! It can be difficult to understand since everybody has a camera and can take a decent picture these days. There is a lot that goes on before and after the actual photography session. Hopefully, most professional photographers are not just pointing and shooting, even if they own expensive equipment. There is much to learn about technique, equipment, artistry, and all of the skills involved. Not to mention the work needed after the shoot. The actual photo shoot involves more than just adjusting settings and posing subjects. There is a lot of unspoken planning and thinking that the client doesn't need to hear or worry about. After the shoot, whether the photographer uses pixels or film, there is some post-processing that has to happen. Digital photography requires learning programs and using expensive software and hardware. This, of course, is a simple summary of what is generally involved with photography. Consider the learning process and the equipment purchases when you hire a photographer, and you will better understand the hefty price your paying. But make sure you are also paying for quality work! :)
