"With persistence and much coaching, Chris has helped me become pain free. He has taught me to look at my body differently. My athletic performance has improved significantly. I alternate between table massage and Thai massage, and I feel refreshed and centered after each session. Chris also stresses whole body care. He has taught me to use yoga positions, and a good diet to be healthier. I really look forward to seeing Chris at his new clinic." - Dr. Jim Brazil

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Find someone who you connect with and feel comfortable talking to. You should feel relaxed in their presence. Know what you want and describe it as best you can before booking an appointment. Trust your instincts when making a decision about a practitioner. Ultimately, you are the one who has to take responsibility for your health.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Many massage therapists know a great deal more about the human body than merely how the muscles work. Find a knowledgable one and you can get a lot more bang for your buck.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What modalities do you use?
How long have you been in practice?
Would you describe your work as spa massage or therapeutic massage?
Are you experienced with injury treatment?
Do you take insurance?
How much time do you recommend for a full-body massage?
Do you offer any fully clothed massage options?
