As a health care professional in Seattle for over 17 years, I specialize in blending the practice of gentle Acupuncture with Therapeutic Thai Massage to treat a wide variety of conditions. Whether you are seeking pain relief from an automobile accident or sports injury, needing an hour or two to relax, or wanting to improve your overall wellness, I can help.
My treatments work on both the physical and energetic levels. Your sessions may include a combination of Acupuncture and Therapeutic Thai Massage, or they may focus on just one modality. Together, we can discuss what you feel is best for your body.
How will you feel after a treatment? Most of my clients report less body pain and greater range of motion in their joints, increased energy, deeper sleep, lessened anxiety, diminished PMS symptoms and a deeper connection to their body and breath.
Acupuncture and Therapeutic Thai Massage are valuable adjuncts to proper nutrition, exercise, meditation, healthy relationships, and mindful work. In my opinion, all these elements are necessary for achieving and maintaining balance in our lives. Having good health often requires effort and patience, especially when treating chronic conditions.
In my practice, I am dedicated to providing every client with a comprehensive, holistic experience in which to explore his or her own powers of health and healing. The goal of each session is to help return you to a place of quiet, where your body can remember how to care for itself and enjoy the experience of being fully alive in the present moment.
I look forward to helping you achieve your optimal health!
Eric's Bio:
I began studying with master teachers in Thailand over 15 years ago and am the only Registered Traditional Thai Yoga Massage instructor in Washington state. I have been to Thailand seven times and have earned certificates from several Thai institutions.
I am also a nationally certified massage therapist, acupuncturist and certified viniyoga instructor. I graduated from the Brian Utting School of Massage in 1994 in Seattle and received a Master of Acupuncture degree from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2002. As a student, I interned at Harborview Medical Center's HIV/AIDS and Chronic Fatigue clinics.
Prior to studying healing arts in Seatle, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master's degree in Environmental Science. Through teaching and taking continuing education courses, I am able to stay current in my field, refine my skills, and expand my knowledge. I have facilitated workshops for other healthcare providers for over 14 years and am an approved continuing education instructor with National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Thai Healing Alliance International, and Yoga Alliance International.

Question and answer
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I love what I do, and my clients say that my passion and dedication to my work translate into effective and healing sessions. As the only Registered Thai Yoga Massage instructor in the state of Washington, I blend my skills to help my clients feel better and pain-free. My office is located in a very private area that has a Zen-like peaceful, lush garden and lots of trees. Clients are welcome to meander through the garden before and after their session.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. My clients. The people who are drawn to my practice are actively involved in improving their health. They are often seeking relief from pain, whether it's from a car accident, sports injury or stress.
I also enjoy working with people who just need an hour or two to simply relax and take care of themselves.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Can you help reduce my pain?
Everybody is different, and everybody responds differently to treatments. For some people, acupuncture is the modality that works best for managing and reducing pain. For others, it is Thai yoga massage. And for most of my clients, it is a combination session of acupuncture followed by Thai yoga massage.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am an approved continuing education provider with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, as well as, with Thai Healing Alliance International. In addition to teaching 20+ workshops each year, I make time to be a student and take courses from others. This ensures that I stay current in my field.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. I recommend that a person receive several sessions of acupuncture and massage from a variety of trusted professionals who have established practices. Anyone who is considering being a practitioner of the healing arts needs to know what it is like to be a client.
I would then suggest visiting several schools and interviewing them before making a decision on education.
Q. Write your own question and answer it.
A. How will I feel after a session with you?
I don't know how you'll respond to a treatment with me until you have one! From my experience, most of my clients feel BOTH energized and relaxed after a session. Their pain is typically lessened, and they are smiling. Their minds are calmer, and their body moves more freely.
