John's PC Service is fantastic! We have had numerous computer issues resolved by John over the last several years, very quickly and at very affordable rates. John has met and exceeded our families expectations and needs every time! A good PC doc is just as important as a reliable mechanic...speaking of which, can anyone recommend a good car doc around here?

I recently had John over help me install Driver software & other important files after a recent Windows upgrade. I was experiencing problems & could not get my computer to connect to the internet- due to driver installation issues.
First: John is very elderly. His hands are very shaky & has trouble using a mouse. Also, when he arrived to my home: he had no equipment, computer, or gear of his own. He simply planned to come over & solve my problem with "wisdom".
Well, that wisdom did not suffice: as we spent a couple hours trying to resolve my problem and he made absolutely no progress. Finally, when I realized it was a fruitless effort, I told him "Let's not waste any more of eachother's time", to which he responded simply with "Well, are you even going to pay me?"
He was unable to make any progress with my computer, citing that the problems were due to "bad hardware". The next technician I took my computer to was able to resolve the issue within one hour: as well as make additional improvements to the internal wiring of my computer. John is far too elderly to be capable of any serious computer repairs. As if it's not already embarrassing enough to ask for help with computer issues, it's especially embarrassing when the person who comes to help you knows less than you do. AND expects payment.
I did sent him off with 20$ for the gas it took to get to my house. Mainly out of pity for the old guy. To be honest, he's a nice guy: but that doesn't cut it when you're computer is down & you're in desperate need of results
