Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Painting and drawing on walls is typically on the no-no list, at least for little hands. I had a breakthrough from this stigma when I realized how easily pencil and paint can be erased and re-painted until the image evokes the a soothing, whimsical or other desired effect.

Using an art projector allows for nearly any image--a photograph, magazine clipping or greeting card--to be enlarged and transferred onto a wall or other surface such as a table top.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I have been painting and drawing since I was a little girl, thanks to the influence of my grandmothers and a special aunt. I took a practical approach to my higher education, pursuing a communication degree. But, my favorite coursework was in my art classes, taking me back to summer days painting outdoors.

I've created, using nearly every media. What I've discovered is that I also thoroughly enjoy painting on walls and surfaces, whether to create texture and movement or a whimsical scene.

Now I'm pushing my career beyond PR, marketing and graphic design, to pursue my passion for art.
