Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. One of the most important aspects of counseling to consider is the fit between you and your therapist. Make sure when you call them for the first time that you get a good idea that they will be a good fit for you to work with. If the fit is bad, therapy will not be as fruitful.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Counseling is a collaborative process between the therapist and the client. Through a dynamic relationship and goal oriented therapy, healing can occur and growth can happen. The therapist is there to help the client look into areas of their life they may be afraid to examine. They client is there to provide the content.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What type of therapy do you offer?
Do you have a sliding scale?
How does billing insurance work?
Will you make me talk about something I don't want to talk about?

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Helping other's find access to freedom from their emotional imprisonment. I enjoy aiding my client's in tapping into a different way of coping with life, emotion, and relationship. The process we engage in helps client's elevate pain or triggers that prevent them from fully living their life.
