Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. 1.Check their quality of work through contractors and building officials.
2.Make sure you have a contract and an invoice, you can check www.aia.org for the appropriate contracts for services provided.
3.Make sure you like their style of work, and look for examples don't choose someone who designs Craftsman Bungalows to do an Italianate Style House.
4.Finally, check out their creativity on current projects and ask to speak to their clients. Make sure they dont just note the location of the rooms but also details and specifications. Do they draw plans with just the basic rooms or are there art niches, linen closets, play lofts for the kids, wine cellars below the stairs, cigar rooms hidden off the garage, a safe room off the bonus room instead of waisted space, 42 inch wide hallways and stairs, check out everything and compair. Its better to pay a little more up front and get what you want than everything you have and end up not enjoying it.
