Are computer repair shops and the laptop manufacturer telling you that you need a new motherboard? Most likely all you need is a new power jack installed to fix your laptop. I can repair your laptop's broken power jack for you with my DC power jack installation services. I also sell the power jacks, should you like to attempt the operation yourself, or if you have the skills and expertise to install it yourself.

I have over 25 years of electronics and computer repair experience, and if you have a laptop that needs a DC jack repair, power problem that needs fixed or any other hardware problem, please contact me via my email address to set up a mail-in for repair.

I charge $98 flat rate fee for the repair, plus the cost of the return shipping.

Services include:

1) a dc jack if needed.
2) extra solder and a re-enforcement compound to the jack/motherboard connection to make the jack 2 to 3 times stronger than the original jack
3) internal cleaning of the laptop's fan, heat sink and board sassy
4) post complementary system checks of the unit's main functions after the dc jack repair and reassembly

I have finally found a trustworthy, reliable, knowledgeable person that I can now call "my computer guy"! I had some hardware issues, he gave me multiple options including someone else's services and kept me in the loop about the repair progress. He even fixed stuff on my computer that needed too be repaired at no extra charge just because he's that kind of guy. I would without a second thought hire him again and recommend him to all of my family and friends!

Great experience. He replaced my computer screen. The price was very very fair. He got it done so quickly. He was very responsive and accommodating. I will definitely use his services in the future if needed, and refer him to others. Thank you!

I highly recommend The Laptop Doctor. One of our company laptops was misbehaving badly and needed a major hardware repair (motherboard replacement). I am glad I found the thumbtack website which introduced me to Darren. I found him to be very knowledgeable and professional. He is definitely going to be our go-to person for all future repairs that are outside my scope.

Would highly recommend. Fixed the problem (replaced a power jack) for a very competitive price and showed super customer service. I was able to drop my laptop off on a holiday and had it back less than 2 days later. Thanks Doc!
