Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. Three of our newest customers are The Great Wolf Lodge, The Spokane Arena, and Stafford at Belmont. We got each of these jobs in different ways. The Great Wolf Lodge - we walked into and started talking; the Spokane Arena - I contacted Scott and he contacted some of our references and the Tacoma Dome as their kitchens are both run by Center Plate; Stafford at Belmont - Lynn had used our services in a facility she had worked at in the past. A list of references is available upon request.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Are you insured and bonded? Protect your assets
Are you a licensed contractor? Only licensed contractors can update / repair systems
Do you have any certifications? Which ones? Certifications in this industry equate to education. We are certified through IKECA and the cities of Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA (the only two cities in the area that require certification)
Do you drug screen your crew? Protect your assets
Is your crew paid commission or hourly? Commission paid crews tend to rush work as they will get the same pay no matter.
How many years experience? Knowledge and experience make a big difference
What is your safety rating? Again, protect your assets
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Our service stands out because we clean the entire system from top to bottom and we do not leave a mess in the kitchen or any where else when we are done. We are also proud to be certified with IKECA, City of Portland, City of Vancouver, and Confined Space. We are also members of WAMOA.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. We are members of IKECA International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association. By attending IKECA seminars we are constantly learning about new techniques and new technologies. We also have written a very comprehensive safety and training manual that is updated about every 3 months with new information.
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. A & R's greatest strength is its crew and our ability to clean any system. No matter how difficult or convoluted. We can clean it.
