Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Home movie transfers, videography and web videos are our most common type of jobs.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. If you are looking for services that we offer, I suggest finding out what level of experience the service provider has. Sure, the kid with the camcorder and laptop editing system might have been the best in his classroom and probably is the cheapest, but your project may or may not have only one chance to be succesful - who do you trust more ..... experience or price?
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I would want to know if my material to be transferred or copied would be handled personally or if was to be sent out of state to be worked on.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. A customer would be better off if they knew how many copies of a transfer that they wanted at the time of their order so they would not have to pay a setip fee again.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We are an alliance of television and video production professionals. Our team has many years of experience that includes every area of media production and services. We are local, we are your neighbors and we are experts.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. We love people and we love our work. To share our broadcast network, Fortune 500 corporate and missional based experiance with our neighbors is a unique opportunity for people in our industry.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. We get asked all the time what out turnaround time is. Often, people have projects that are urgent, such as memorials and funerals that need attention right away. We are used to tight deadlines and immediate requests. We also know the importance of family matters.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. My favorite work story from Expert Video Services is about the woman who brought in many boxes of her father's 35mm slides and some VHS tapes and asked us to transfer them all to DVD so she could watch them on her TV. She called us and said that the footage was some film to tape transfers that her dad had made in the 70's but she had never seen any of it. Since her father had died recently, these new transfers were her only connection to her childhood she had left. She cried as she thanked us for her memories.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. In this day and age, there are countless people that have the ability and reaources to acquire pretty good video tools at resonable rates. Thirty years ago, that was not the case - then, in order to be able to use the best gear and services in the industry you had to be highly qualified and proven to be a quality level veteren. Now, any kid with a camcorder, a high school level interest and a willingness to sell themselves can create a video project. It may seem like price is important, but remember this - anyone can buy a hammer but not everyone can build you a quality built, safe home. We build quality in every project we do.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. We just recently completed video production for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Washington State as well as a beautifully edited wedding project that we think are great examples of what our experiance level affords us versus projects with the budgets to hire anyone needed. In addition, we are in the process of producing a video for Thurston Energy with our South Sound Producer.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Yes, we are advisory board members for two high schools and two colleges in the state. That not only gives us the ability to help the next generation of video professionals but it allows us to be a part of that next big thing that students are looking at as well.

Mr. Kelly is very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to help my by transfering several old VHS tapes, on to DVDs which I can now watch and enjoy. My small project was very important and he made me feel like a million! I will always recommend Expert Vidoe Services.
