Let your wedding be the next talk of the town! Make it the wedding that all your friends only wished they could have.
Do you want your wedding to be common, just like everyone else's? Do you intend to spend thousands of dollars just so people can leave after cake? Of course no! Create a wedding that sets the standard for all your friends. The only way to do that is through entertainment!
Your wedding can be beautiful, but it can also be an experience! Let me take your vision and transform it into a reality. Instead of going with a DJ that is just like all the other DJs, why not go with an expert?
We are nothing like the other professional DJs; we are so much more. We have the expertise that the competition just don't have. Other professional DJs are "jack of all trades", playing emcee, DJ, and wedding planner. Not only that, you also pay the DJ the same price as 3 people although you only get 1 person. How is that fair?
With MEGA Music Entertainment, you get what you pay for! We are the only DJ service offering a young team when you hire us, with a male/female balance and the ability to be in two places at once. You benefit from the service of an educated professional who has a degree, which is a prerequisite for any employee. Other professional companies do not even consider obtaining a degree in order to run their business.
We are the only DJ that includes a high-definition TV in our packages as a standard. Only a few other DJs have HD TVs, and you will be charged extra if you want to use it. We are also the only DJ service in the entire NW that has "glow skirts"; this transforms your wedding into an intimate, active environment. We even have LED can lights that can transform your reception into a grand ballroom. Other DJ companies will have to rent out lights to offer the same and charge you a premium, so they can profit from the rental you paid for. We here at MEGA Music Entertainment can do so much more!
When you get a Top Level Package (the "Super Sweet 16!", "CEO Package" or "Pampered Deluxe"), you get a free iPad to record and plan your event. We put all your song lists, example timeline and music forms on the iPad, so you can plan your entire wedding or event, from beginning to end.
If you are looking for an exceptional and over-the-top service, then we are the only option. So, come deal with the experts who can certainly make your dreams come true!

A. I would love to answer any questions you have since we do have a lot of services, and information. Please take into consideration when comparing us to other DJ's who provide the same service we are usually $1K - $2K cheaper. When you compare us to other DJ's that run about $700, those cheaper DJ's won't be able to provide the kind of unique services that we do, or have the same kind of professionalism. Please do not hesitate to call!
A. MEGA Music has the best deals amongst the other professional music entertainers in town: bands, other music entertainers, soloists, master of ceremonies, wedding DJ, etc. Whether you’re trying to stay on a budget, or plan something over- the- top, we can do everything and anything. With our NEW 42″ HDTV’s for the NEW video DJ system (2 tv’s on trusses with lighting and music videos that accompany the music, it’s so grand that it’s better than having a live band), HDTV/DVD combo you can splash pictures of special moments that you have shared together, video, or PowerPoint presentations, when hooked up to our Macbooks. If you want a worry free day, then let us worry about it with our event planning package or be sure to ask about our master of ceremonies service, where we host your event from beginning to end. Whatever your wish is, we can make it come true, we can provide any kind of wedding idea imaginable. We can even set up a room for kids with our Nintendo Wii and really let loose knowing the kids are having their own fun too.
A. 10 Reasons Why We LOVE Bravo! And Why You Should Too!
1. They have been around FOREVER and I can even remember my Mom’s friends, family, and co-workers raving about the Bravo Event Resource Guide when I was only 15 years old (I am now 28). I remember reading the event guides for fun when I was in middle school!
2. The staff at Bravo truly cares about their customers, clients, and the community!
3. They know more about the wedding and event industry then any other company in the area!
4. The staff is honest, efficient, always willing to help, works well with small businesses and they are always so kind, did I already mention that?!
5. The website is very informative and easy to maneuver, and also so much fun to browse, plan, get great ideas, and find all your vendors in one place! http://www.bravowedding.com/
6. Bravo is one of the ONLY wedding shows I would trust in Oregon. Yes, there are other wedding shows, but they all have VERY mixed reviews. Only Bravo has consistent satisfied customers and brides who fall in love every time they go to a Bravo! Wedding Showcase. Check out this upcoming event for BRIDES! http://www.bravowedding.com/weddingaffair/show/november-2010-wedding-affair/
7. They work so hard to make their events OVER-THE-TOP! And then there are vendors like us, MEGA Music Entertainment that can make that OVER-THE-TOP dream wedding come true at an affordable price. We work with only the best vendors. If you want your wedding to look like the room at one of the shows then check out our most popular package the Cinderella Fantasy http://www.megamusicent.com/packages-pricing/
8. Other people and businesses have strived to be what Bravo already is, and they just DON’T compare!
9. We love a good blog and Bravo has that too! http://bravowedding.com/blog/
10. Last, but certainly not least we LOVE Bravo, and you should too is because this is the most important day of your life, and they realize that! You need someone on your side, and those people are your vendors, friends, and family. A vendor can unfortunately ruin your entire day if they are not experienced, and Bravo promotes only great local vendors. They are here to answer your questions or find an answer for that really difficult question you might have!
We would love your input, so if you have more reasons to love Bravo then please continue the list!
A. To Tip, or Not to Tip
To Tip, or Not to Tip…
Tipping is an interesting topic these days, because if you have not noticed, this nation is not doing so well financially! With a very high unemployment rate, underemployment and the nation’s financial issues, many people choose not to tip on their wedding day. These days many couples are putting their wedding expenses on a credit card, which means they are already paying more than they should for their wedding. With credit card rates as high as 39.9% make sure you know and understand your credit cards terms if you are using credit to pay for any part of your wedding. Miscellaneous costs can add up very quickly, including tipping all or any of your vendors.
So, should you feel obligated to tip? Do vendors expect it?
I cannot answer on behalf of all vendors because I know some that are completely insulted when they are not tipped. This may be because of different times (new era for the wedding industry) also you still find that many “east coast” families will absolutely tip. MEGA Music has seen tipping go down, but “thank you notes” go up! We in NO WAY FEEL YOU SHOULD TIP US! We are the owners of MEGA Music, and there is a saying that “you should not tip the owner” and this is true in most cases. Personally, I only plan on tipping vendors at my wedding (next June) if they go extremely above and beyond. I will thank my vendors with a thank you card, and I will most likely give my photographer a gift card as we are getting married in Hawai’i and she will be the MOST important vendor along with the videographer if we choose to use one.
Here are other ideas to thank your vendors if you feel they went above and beyond:
*Send them a thank you card with a picture from the wedding day
*Send them an e-card with a referral that they can post on their website
*Send them a gift card
*Plant a tree in honor of their business and work
*Donate to a foundation that they support
Basically, if your wedding vendor did a great job, just let them know it in person or in simple thank you note. Really! We just love to know that we did everything possible to make your day special. Feedback is critical in this industry and we personally at MEGA Music love our client’s feedback.
Recently I read an article on Theknot.com about tipping your vendors that provide services and products for your wedding. Here are some points they gave as far as how much do you tip, if you choose to tip your vendors.
Caterer: $1-2 per head (this means you pay $1-2 per person at your wedding)
Wedding planner: Up to $500 or a nice gift
Wedding Hair & Make-up: 15-20% of the total bill for you and your bridal party
Wedding Delivery and Set-up Staff: $5-10 a person
Ceremony Officiate: You can donate up to $500 to the church or synagogue or tip the officiate $50-100
Ceremony Musicians: $15-20 per musician
Photographer/Videographer: Not standard to tip unless they are not the owner of the company, then you may tip $50-200
Wedding Reception Staff: $200-300 for you maitre d’ (if you have someone that was in charge of the staff and did an exceptional job)
Wedding Reception Attendants: $20-25 per bartender or waiter; $1 per guest for coat check and parking attendants (again, this is all relative to your situation)
Wedding Reception Band or DJ: $20-25 per musician if you hire a band and $50-150 for DJ’s
Wedding Transportation: 15-20% of the entire bill

These days in the Portland area I find that most people who tip are paying $20,000 or more for their wedding.
Like I said earlier, DO NOT FEEL OBLIGATED TO TIP THESE DAYS! But if you want to, the cheat sheet does help for you to plan your budget around tipping your vendors. If you do choose to tip, MAKE SURE YOU BUDGET FOR IT!
Let us know how you feel about this topic; to tip or not to tip!
