Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I pay special attention and get to know each person who comes to see me. It is my goal to address the issues and provide ideas for ways to decrease pain or ways to change activities and daily habits allowing even more relief on a deeper level. Massage alone wont do the trick, though it does help, if no changes are made to improve ones life all the treatment in the world wont prevent the issue...so lets work together to improve and create a healthier lifestyle.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love being able to help people feel better, to see the excitement and joy when they have pain relief. When they are able to stand up straight and walk comfortably. Or run again. Or experience improved range of motion. It is the best blessing to be apart of that. I am so grateful and honored to be apart of that change.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I pray for each and every person who gets on my table. For pain to go away, for them to always be happy, to have love, amazing friendships and to be healthy. I am as grateful that I am able to pray for you, as I am, to be able to massage you.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I take classes every year to keep up to date on ethics and boundaries. As well as learn new techniques and treatments. I have taken classes on Rain Drop Therapy, Indian Head Massage, Korean hand massage, and a beginners class for Thai massage. I feel in love with Thai massage and this year I will be taking more to become more proficient in it. I cant wait!

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Being a good massage practitioner is not only about good technique. You have to have great touch, awesome customer service and be able to listen, really listen. Your heart has to be in what you are giving, or people can tell...you cant be thinking about what your going to do after the massage, you have to stay focused on the moment and give each person your all...but the other side to that is to stay balanced and not take it all home with you. Once these things are all achieved you will be a great massage therapist <3
