Untie your knots, and free your energy!

Those aches and pains can be a drain on your energy. I untie those pesky knots you get, so you can move freely into the rest of your life. I believe a good massage doesn't have to hurt to be effective. Come and experience a relaxing relief for yourself!

My clients tell me how amazed they are that I find and treat their problem areas with ease, directly addressing the cause of the pain whenever possible. They also appreciate that they feel better after receiving my massage, rather than battered and bruised.

I offer weekend appointments for your convenience. You can book online 24/7 at my website. I will respond to your online booking with a personalized email, so you can be sure I have received your booking, and give you the chance to ask me questions.

I perform Western and Swedish style massage integrated with deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial, and Shiatsu. I also offer Reiki, handmade body exfoliation treatments, Thai herbal compress massage, and hot stone massage.

I have over 150 hours of continuing education in Shiatsu, Thai massage, and Chinese medical theory, in addition to the 555-hour licensing certification in Western massage including Reiki, Level I.

I am also currently studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I truly love my work and the amazing creation that is the human body.

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Some of the things I hear from clients include: "You always know right where my knots are." "I get deep tissue relief without feeling beat up the next day."

I combine training, expertise, and intuition to bring you relief and relaxation without unnecessary pain. I really enjoy what I do, and the people I serve.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. My favorite part of my job is seeing the blissful smiles on my clients faces as they are leaving my office.

When clients come in with headaches, shoulder, neck and back aches, stress, and other "wounds of modern living", I know that smile means that I have helped them find some relief.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. I would say most clients ask about nudity and draping issues.

I think what keeps some people from massage is uncertainty and discomfort with the idea of getting undressed. I would like to reassure my potential clients that you are welcome to leave any clothing on that you need to feel comfortable. Even if you are comfortable completely naked, my personal and professional guidelines dictate that you will be covered with a sheet, and usually a blanket. Only the specific body part that I am working on will be uncovered. You are welcome to request that I do not work on certain areas, such as gluteals/buttocks, feet, face, scalp, abdomen, etc. Your modesty is important to me.

On the reverse side, due to the existence of less than scrupulous therapists doubling as sex workers, I will likely not accept you as a client if you specifically request "upper adductors", groin, buttock, and lower abdomen work, or "draping options" as these are often code for sexual favors. I most emphatically DO NOT offer this type of work.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I find that my clients are often surprised by the amount and type of education required to become a massage practitioner.

For example, my initial certification training was 555 hours, which is about what Washington State requires for licensure. This initial training included 90 hours of Anatomy and Physiology, 60 hours of Kinesiology (the study of the muscles, how they move the body, and which bones they connect), 60 hours of Pathology (disease), 30 hours of Communication and Ethics and 4 hours of HIV and blood borne pathogen education. Hands on bodywork (not including extra "Elective" classes in specialized techniques) comprised 180 hours of my training.

We also complete 24 hours of continuing education per 2 year licensing period.
