Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure the person or staff providing the waxing or facial services are licensed, insured and properly trained in the service they are providing! Make sure they are fully trained on the equipment they are using and can give you full instructions on what to expect before,during and after all treatments. Make sure all working area's are kept clean and that NO disposable equipment is resused at any time during your service. This is to ensure your health and safety as well as other clients health and safety.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. That many places are not kept clean! I was shocked when I started working in this industry at how dirty some of the nicest dayspa's (some of which I frequented as a client no more!) were kept! Double Dipping in wax pots (gross!) This means the wax stick is continuously redipped throughout your wax service back into the wax pot without being thrown away (Herpes and MRSA have been trasmitted this way)
Bedding not changed between clients on busy days, footbaths not cleaned properly, oh I could go on and on it's disturbing really!!! Needless to say I'm a germaphobe clean freak and you can be sure I run a tight clean ship at ASH Organic Skin Care and Waxing.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. They should ask about products that are used during service both for facials and for waxing. They should ask about Contact Precautions and how the Tech prevents the spread of germs between clients and the tech/clients (gloves, no double dipping, no re-using equipment, using fresh linens etc) Basically being an informed consumer.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Well if a person is coming to see me it's because they are wanting a professional waxing or facial service. In most cases it is not comfortable (as far as waxing goes). I have a ton of information on my website that goes over everything in detail on what to expect both for facials and waxing (so hopefully potential clients would have read that)

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work stands out from most others in the business because I am always educating myself either with professional trade workshops or independently. I try everything out on myself before I try it on clients, I will ALWAYS refer out to a dermatologist if needed and always follow up on ALL services even down to a basic brow wax!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love my job because I love skin care, I love waxing, I love health in general and being able to tie it all in with being around people is great! My clients are awesome! It's great having a job you can go to feel like you're meeting your best friend for an hour gab session.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How do you keep your skin looking so great? Well that's easy I have all the tools at hand! Peels, Microdermabrasion, Microcurrent, drinking tons of water, SUNBLOCK!!!

How do I get rid of/keep ingrown hairs at bay? Scrub Scrub Scub in the shower with an acne body scrub on a wash cloth every day! After your showers use Bikini Kitty Post Wax treatment spray all over waxed areas to treat and prevent!
