Experience the diverse benefits of massage.
Using different modalities such as treatment massage, deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial, and trigger point therapy, I create a treatment plan based on each client's individual needs.
I am passionate about the work I do and about educating my clients in the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of massage.

I was run over by a car when I was 17 years old. Today, at 50, and for the last 33 years, I have endured terrific difficulties with my back, neck and left shoulder. With over 30 years of Medical, chiropractic and massage therapy, I can assure you, I've seen the BEST and THE WORST of all three. 10 years ago, I met a massage therapist. His name was Nile. He was 6'6" and 250lbs of muscle, and hands large enough to touch his thumbs at the back of my head, and his center fingers in front of my forehead (aka HUGE HANDS) Go ahead, try it.. you MIGHT be able to reach your temples if you're lucky! For the next 6 years he gave me the best deep tissue massages weekly, that I'd ever had. I was pain free 95% of the time from then on, compared to less than 50% prior.
When I moved to the Seattle area in 2008, I had no access to great massage therapy. Every place I went, they had a different therapist every time I went in. There was no consistency in therapists, except for run of the mill, predetermined massage practices. They were done the same way every time by different people of varying quality and strengths. In other words, it was like going to a massage factory. Exact same massage process & pattern, for every person, every time.. BUT, no individual attention to the areas, muscles, & specific issues I had.
Almost every time, I was slipped a personal business card, and assured if I called them direct, they would be happy to come to my house. (That tells you they were there to gather clients and NOT to give good massages) Not one of them came close to the type of massages I'd had by Nile, and I certainly didn't want them at my home. In 3 years, I was nearly to the point of desperation. I was in pain daily. Way too often, I couldn't sleep, couldn't sit, couldn't stand, and could carry very little weight. I am not a petite man at 6’0 and 220lbs, but I was avoiding carrying in the groceries for crying out loud. I was avoiding exercise for fear of injuring my back. I had quit walking when I didn’t need to... I was freaking out about how I was going to continue working and living my life in the future. The stress and anxiety, sent my blood pressure through the roof.
Then Ms. Kellogg opened Day Dreams Massage on Vashon Island. It's a 40 min ride from home in Bellevue to the Ferry, 10mins across the water and 5 more minutes to her shop. AND worth every minute of adventure, getting there and back.
It's not a high tech building, with lasers and ex-ray machines. It doesn't have a Jacuzzi, steam room, lockers, club membership, medical staff etc.etc.etc... It also doesn’t have the exorbitant pricing that places like that do. It’s a nice office inside, clean & fresh, calm & comfortable and very private.
But the BEST thing that Daydreams massage has is Alyce Kellogg. She is every bit as strong (when I need it) as Nile. She is very precise, and accurate. She is completely attune to the pain/issues in my back/shoulder as anyone ever has been, and clear about what is causing it. She can put her hands on my back and TELL ME where the pain is. You DON’T find that often. She has found muscle structures I didn't even know were affected, and explained how they interact with the areas that were giving me the most pain. The muscles in my chest had started spasming as a result of the knots in my back, along the left side of my spine, and under my shoulder blade. The pain in my chest terrified me and I headed to the ER 3 times to make sure it wasn't my heart. Each time it was traced back to the issues with my back and shoulder. Despite KNOWING that, every time I had the chest pain, I WORRIED. And THAT is not a good feeling.
I have seen Alyce several times in the last few months. I am pain free (except when I don't venture over) and I'm clear the freedom from pain, and the stress/anxiety it brings with it, are a direct result from the exceptional ability she possesses, along with the total care and attention to individual needs I have. This woman has a gift that many in the industry don't have. I can't recommend her highly enough. If you're on the Island, I envy your proximity. IF you're not, it is SO WORTH THE TRIP.
Even if you aren’t someone with the chronic pain I have (and especially if you ARE, and you’re sick of MD’s stuffing you with prescriptions to “treat & street” you) do yourself a favor and book a massage. A Swedish relaxation massage, or a deep tissue massage can do wonders for you mind and body. There is complete professionalism, concern and care delivered with each massage. You will NOT be disappointed.

A. COMMUNICATION! The most important aspect to a massage is the communication between the client and provider. Massage is all about your comfort and making you feel better. You can, and should, let your provider know if there is something they can do to make you more comfortable. From adjusting the amount of pressure they are using to the volume of the music. Specific areas you would like focused on, light and aroma levels, temperature, and any other areas that will affect your massage should be addressed.
A. The satisfaction I feel in knowing I have helped someone by relieving their pain, stress, or emotional suffering.
