Artha sits on a lush 90-acre plot with rolling hills of wooded land and open fields. Spend some time in the pristine wilderness of Wisconsin. We are just 10 minutes from the beautiful chain of Lakes in Waupaca; guests have access to many wonderful outdoor activities.
A 30-minute drive to downtown Stevens Point and just 10 minutes south of Amherst, Artha sits in the heart of central Wisconsin. Come, relax and enjoy this sustainable oasis. Have a family reunion, or come to one of our many workshops and retreats held year round.
We have high-speed wireless internet available. Our complimentary gourmet breakfasts are served each morning. We use local organic eggs, and other organic or pesticide-free veggies (often from our garden) for our breakfasts whenever possible. If you have special dietary needs, just let us know and we will do our best to serve you.
There are organic fair trade coffee, cocoa and tea selections, candies, popcorn and other treats available throughout the day for your pleasure.
Our kitchen is available for your use; if you would like to bring food for lunches and dinners, you can prepare your meals in our fully equipped kitchen, or use the gas grill located on the deck. This is a great way to enjoy country living at it's best.
Artha is the place to stay if you are afflicted by chemical sensitivities; we use no VOC paint, no wall to wall carpeting and natural cleaning and laundering products.
Create your own retreat! Come for the weekend or a week, pick from the list of many fun activities, and we will help you create an unforgettable vacation. Bring your family or friends. You can also rent the studio space, gazebo and grounds.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Artha Sustainable Living Center is a place that strives to exist in harmony with our environment. This harmony includes living within the boundaries of our ecosystem as well as being in tune with our inner selves. We lead by example and offer our experiences and expertise to those who wish to learn from us.
Renewable Energy training services, system design and renewable energy education services offered on site at Artha or at remote facilities. We offer year round hands-on workshops and retreats and classes in solar water heating, yoga, herbs and their uses and more.
