FAQs
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
In January, I photographed a wedding in Playa del Carmen. It was an amazing destination wedding in a city just south of Cancun, Mexico. The ceremony was on the top of a hill, in the St. Francis of Assisi chapel. Since the ceremony took place after the sun set, we took all the portraits before Barb and Dan were married. So I was able to photograph their "first look" just outside the salon where Barb got her hair and makeup done. Once we arrived at Xcaret Park, I took some portraits of them around the park. In one of the portraits, Barb is sitting in a stone arch, while the sunset is reflecting off of her face. Kodak selected this photograph as one of their featured images to be displayed at Times Square in New York City.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You should meet with your photographer before your wedding day. With Visual Image Photography, you will know who your photographer is. Most of our packages include an engagement session. The engagement session is more than just an opportunity to have your portrait taken, but it also gives you the chance to connect with your photographer, to see how they work, and to become more comfortable in front of the camera.
