Greetings! My name is Waylon Brun, the owner and trainer of Unleash Fido. I am a certified canine behavior specialist through Triple Crown Dog Academy. I have over 4 years of dog training experience, working with a wide variety of behaviors, including aggression, fear, basic obedience, and much more.

My philosophy of dog training is based on motivation. I look at each dog as an individual, then create a curriculum based off of the dog and the family's needs! I believe that before a dog is expected to do a behavior, it should be shown or taught before being reinforced.

  I have had a professional relationship with Unleash Fido's founder Waylon Brun, since 2008. I have found him to be a very talented and caring dog trainer that is invested in furthering his education in this field. My favorite quality about Waylon is that he is able to form individual relationships with each dog and use the best method to help that particular dog reach his/her potential. More importantly, he is dedicated to you, the owner, and will make sure you understand more than just obedience training.   I brought my dog, Ella, to Waylon for e-collar training in spring of 2011. Ella is a hound-mix that I adopted from a rescue. Since she was a puppy, she has had problems with obedience, major food aggression issues and running away. I had taken her through multiple obedience training, agility classes and had her go through a 6 week training with Jana Logghe to work on these issues. She came out of the 6 week training a completely different dog! She no longer had food aggression problems and she actually started listening to us when we gave her commands. However, when we let her outside, her nose took over, and she would run and not come back.
  
  We decided to bring Ella back to Northwoods Animal Learning Center and have her e-collar trained with Waylon. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing the e-collar has been for us! Waylon did a fantastic job training Ella. Ella was a dog that could never be off leash, ever. She constantly had to be watched. After e-collar training, we can let her outside, whether we are out there or not, and she stays in the yard! When we call her she comes right away. If she does start to wander away and doesn’t come when we call, all she needs is a quick reminder buzz from the e-collar, and she is on her way back to us.
  
  E-collar training has been the best training for our dog. We considered other alternatives, like an invisible fence, but we didn’t want to go that route, because it wouldn’t teach Ella to stay with us when we go for walks, or take her to someone else’s house. We wanted a solution that would be permanent and would teach Ella to listen and not run away from us.
  
  I would definitely recommend Waylon to teach your dog e-collar training! I can not say enough times how wonderful this experience was for us. We have a changed dog!
