We had Walcott Studio for my daughter's senior pictures. The experience was great. He spent alot of time with my daughter capturing just the right picture that really displayed her personality. He came out to our home and took pictures near by on the bridge and under the bridge on the railroad tracks, and let me tell you getting under was no easy task. He went above and beyond what we had expected of him. Thanks again Walcott. Definitely give him a call today!

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Do you want a piece of paper w/an image on it? Or do you want a portrait that captures you in the best light, that you will enjoy for years and be able to pass on to the next generation?

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Just as a stethoscope does not make a doctor or a legal pad an attorney or accountant a camera does not make a photographer. It's the years of training and experience combined with genuine care for our clients and commitment to do our very best for them, that determines the final portraits they receive.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We enjoy building relationships with our clients and creating portraits that show them in the best light and provide them years of enjoyment.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I had the privilege of growing up in the photographic profession, assisting my parents, rubbing shoulders with master photographers, photographing for our local newspaper and high school. So to test the profession I enlisted in the U.S. Navy photographic program. I'd found my niche. So applied to Layton School of Art, which had one of the premier photographic programs and graduated w/honors. Then apprenticed for studios in Florida and Texas before joining our family studio.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We copied, cropped, corrected the color and archived 400 images for a family of 7 children, following the death of their parents. Now each child has the families visual history preserved to share with their children.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We have engaged in continuing education since the day we entered this profession. We do this both for the enjoyment of learning and to hone our skills to better serve our clients.
