Some call it art, I call it heART.
It's not a job, it's a way of life.
I live my life and my art with my heart, with my true, pure and raw emotions. My passion for life, for beauty and for the small things in life are what drives me. There is not a single thing in my life that I do that I don't give it 150% heart. Why do it if your heart is not in it?
Some may not understand this approach to my life or my job. Not everyone lives their life with their heart and their pure emotion. Some live life with logic. Others just fly by the seat of their pants, not really taking much into account at all. We are all different. That is what makes life so beautiful!
Some may think that "this photography thing" is just a way for me to make money or just for fun. For some photographers, photography may be just that. For me, I wake up in the morning and see my world in moments and memories that I want to hold onto forever. Moments that should be captured and kept forever, fleeting moments that go by so quickly.
My approach to my art is through my heart. If you have ever had a session with me, you know exactly what I mean. I love to laugh, play, love, and capture all of those beautiful moments and those connections. I like to get to know you, learn your likes, hear your stories and capture who you are inside.
My approach is not posed or stuffy or smile for the camera. Mind you, we do get a few shots that are a bit more "formal" but nothing like you'd get from a "box photographer". If that is what you want, then I need to know ahead of time, so I can make sure we get the formal, posed, close up and tight cropped photos that you are looking for.
I do strive to make you happy. Like I've said, my heart goes into this. I capture those precious moments and those heart felt connections. I excitedly return quickly to my computer, back up your photos, spend hours retouching them, smiling back at you and/or your children's smiling faces. I then blog them and create a custom gallery just for you. The time I spend on your photos is not just time, it's heart, it's love and attention to every detail.
