Tell your story with creative photography!

Milwaukee photographer, Sarah Schlicht has been visually documenting life since 2001. Long before she picked up a professional digital camera, Sarah knew her passions in life: children and art. For her, watching the two come together as one was thrilling!

As a teacher, Sarah knows that patience and a little silliness go a long way. She also knows too well that childhood is fleeting. Each day is a gift. Before you can catch your breath, another year has passed, hard to believe how much they've grown right under your nose.

Sarah believes in the importance of capturing the innocence and discovery of this phase of life, as well as in capturing the love between families of two, three, or more. Sarah takes the time to get to know your family, so your finished portraits truly reflect your personality. Her approach to photography is artistic, creative, and casual.

Fresh Frame Photography is also available for weddings. We'd be thrilled to document your love story! Sarah's approach to wedding photography leans toward photojournalism; each photo tells a story, capturing a moment in time on your special day, and has been described as whimsical and vintage-inspired.

If you're interested in further information, please fill out a contact form at our website to request a 'fresh bride' packet.

When not behind the lens, Sarah teaches art, writes children's books, and lives with her husband and business partner, Matt, in the North Shore area of Milwaukee.

Thank you for your interest in Fresh Frame. We hope for the chance to exceed your expectations soon.

Sarah did a newborn session and a one-year/family session for my son Avery over this past year. For the newborn shoot, she did a great job capturing his personality, even at only a few weeks old. She was both professional and personable so we felt really comfortable with her taking photos of our little one. When he cried or got upset, she was very accommodating with taking breaks to make sure Avery and I were comfortable during the shoot. For the family session, we went to a beautiful park and she was able to capture us in candid moments. She also did a "cake smash" where Avery got to eat/attack a cupcake, which not only was fun for everyone, but made for wonderful, spontaneous pictures. Sarah likes to try different things during the shoot so that you have a variety of shots to choose from (which actually made it harder to pick which ones we wanted because they were all so good!). I would highly recommend Sarah and Fresh Frame Photography to anyone looking to get photos taken of their newborns, children and family. Her professionalism and creativity are outstanding!

Sarah photographed our wedding in May of 2011. She did an AMAZING job with absolutely everything. Some things that stand out... her incredible ability to be a "fly on the wall", or, not "in the way" yet still capture so many key moments, like the gleeful expressions of important family members throughout our wedding day... her talent for getting fabulous pictures of children, especially when we had our HUGE family posed picture, with 16+ kids and 14 adults... I was impressed at how well they turned out!... and my personal favorite, when she took us outdoors for some "natural" shots outside on our special day. They are my favorite shots of the entire day - the unique ideas she has... I never would have thought of, but they all are so amazing! I love each one of Sarah's shots for various reasons. She is so easy and fun to work with, too! MANY thanks to Sarah for capturing this important day in our lives!! I can't imagine having had anyone else do it. :)

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. As an art teacher, Sarah offers the unique combination of creative, well-organized service from start to finish and the knowledge of how to put people at ease, therefore capturing joyful, relaxed photos that truly reflect your personality.

Her artistic vision and attention to detail allows Fresh Frame to document touching moments and "the little things" that pleasantly surprise clients time after time.

Sarah's eclectic style includes both black/white, and color images, a bit of whimsy, a pinch of vintage, traditional shots, photojournalism: each frame--a story, as well as the modern "artistic" or abstract. Variety is the spice of life, each frame: a unique inspiration.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Getting to know new clients and allowing them to rerealize, visually, how blessed they are with love-- in a family, a partnership, a business, with a new life, within themselves... this is my passion.

Combining my love for children, specifically, and art behind the lens is thrilling. Each client's story is different- no two sessions are alike. I enjoy the challenge of exceeding each client's unique expectations.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I am in love with beautiful light, natural and friendly.

I use much more than a camera and lenses, I am using my artistic talent to uncover truth in each image, and capture the underlying chemistry between couples and families.

This style and eye for emotion sets me apart from the thousands of professionals with camera and lens. My clients hire me to create art for them. Each life is a masterpiece, let me capture yours.
