- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
ComForcare is working directly with the Alzheimers Association on an educational program for the entire staff from top management to caregivers. This new program will start the summer of 2013. We are working with a local Hospice Agency on providing end of life care education to our C.N.A.s and Cargivers.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I cared for my elderly mother and saw the need. I knew I didn't want her to go to an assisted living community when all whe wanted was to stay in her own home.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
ComForcare's staff assist our clients with activities of daily living including bathing ,grooming and hygiene. We also provide incontinent care. We can assist with safe ambulation and transfers from wheelchairs, beds, etc. We provide healthy meals based on dietary needs. We provide transportation to doctors visits, grocery stores, pharmacy or any place the client needs to go. We help with housekeeping chores and laundry. We also care for our clients at end of life providing comfort and peace of mind to their families.
