Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. A good price on a project may really just be too good to be true...all painters are not equal in skill...if you're basing your decision solely on price, research a little further: Does the painter include 1 coat or two? Is all necessary prep work (i.e. sanding before repainting trim) included? Have you checked references? Seen pictures of the work? Does the painter carry the standards for insurance on the project? Overall, when selecting a painter, remember to compare apples to apples.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We take the time to do it right...we do not "slap and dash." Also, we provide color consulting services to our clients. Additionally, whenever possible, we use low and no VOC paints and products from Hallman Lindsay, Benjamin Moore and Pittsburgh Paints. Red Canary is also woman-owned and operated.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I enjoy the satisfaction my customers' have when projects are completed--they have a new look, a new attitude, a fresh coat of paint on the walls! I enjoy stepping back and seeing a job well-done.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. "Do you paint?" Yes, I paint! I started this business solely with my skills as a painter and artist--I pride myself on having some of the cleanest paint lines in town!
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Every story where a client is hesitant to add some color to their lives...once we make that transition from white/off white to adding colors, people wonder how they lived without color before! Love it!
